You're a talented guy and I'm sure you'll find a job elsewhere. As far as your book idea, I think that it sounds great, and I second Jarrod's suggestion to talk to Adam Carolla. Even if you don't like the guy, he is quite intelligent and has a unique point of view on most issues. Plus, he loves nothing more than to complain about his life and give his two cents on an issue, so there's a good chance he would be receptive to helping you out.
