On the DL with Dan Levy is a podcast about sports, pop culture, politics, TV, movies and really, whatever we want.

Each week, we’ll focus on the topics of the day, and as is our want, get on the biggest soapbox our little corner of the internet can fit.  Oh, and we’ll have people on the show who actually know about what they speak.  Promise.

Host

Dan has a background in sports media and publishing for over a decade.  Now, Dan is Creator and President of 609design, a media and design firm in New Jersey. 

Seven years ago, Rutgers Athletics had no identity.  Dan was asked to create that identity. 

If you’ve noticed the giant red R plastered across your television set and on millions of shirts and hats across the country in the past seven years, then you’ve seen his work. 

More than that, if you’ve gone to a seminar, taken a tour of Philadelphia, purchased something internationally, or even gone to the dentist, there is a good chance you’ve seen his work.

Dan’s goal in life is to design t-shirts and be a television critic.  That’s what he wants to do when he retires. 

He understands, of course, that retirement is a long ways away.  For now, Dan just wants to be creative and try to make his tiny footprint on this giant world a little bigger....and apparently, a little sappier.

Nick Tarnowski

Co-Host

Nick began his career working in journalism as the Daily Planner on the assignment desk at NBC 10 in Philadelphia but made the move to public relations when he accepted the position of athletic communications assistant at Rutgers University in 2003. While there he acted as a liaison between the press and the public for six Division I sports programs.

In 2004, Nick accepted a position as a publicist for Allied Advertising in Philadelphia where he is currently the Assistant Director of Publicity and Promotions and represents national clients such as Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures and Sony Pictures as their local arm for publicity and promotions.

In the spring of 2006, he completed his Masters in Journalism at Temple University.

Marc Sonsini

Marc Sonsini has been in TV and Radio for over a decade.

At the age of 23, Marc was the host of a 6-hour live music program for WPEN 950 AM in Philadelphia.  Also at WPEN he produced the weekly big band music program, Swing City, for five years.

For the past six years Marc has been a Broadcast Technician for Lenape District Television in Medford, NJ.  LDTV is an educational broadcast station that serves over 60,000 homes and streams live online, 24/7.  At LDTV, Marc writes, produces, shoots, directs, and edits everything from public service announcements, to studio based series, to live sporting events.

Neil Jacobs

Legal Analyst

Neil Jacobs is a practicing attorney in Rockville, Maryland.  A 1989 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and a 1992 graduate of the University Of Maryland School Of Law, Neil’s law practice focuses almost exclusively on criminal defense in both the State and Federal Courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia.  In addition to regularly lecturing to other attorneys on a myriad of legal issues and appearing on a local cable show “Law School for the Public,” he is currently the president-elect of the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorney’s Association.

Neil is a die-hard Washington Redskins fan, a casual fan of the Capitals and slowly coming around on the Washington Nationals.  In his “spare time” Neil is a regular and longtime e-mailer under the pseudonym “Neil from Rockville” to the Tony Kornheiser Show  and The John Riggins Show, with additional email credits including reads on ESPN’s Monday Night Football.
