The First Ever DL Call In Show
The great call in show! Yes, we actually turn the podcast into your typical, run of the mill, standard sports talk radio call in show...except we do it awesomer. Yes, I am aware that awesomer is not a word, but this call in show is so awesome there was no other way to describe it. (Note: I’m watching Colbert as I type this, so he may be rubbing off on me.) (Note on note: not literally.)
Actual calls from listeners, previous guests and even a few voicemail calls. This started out as a joke due to some scheduling quirks, but we managed to come up with a pretty interesting show. And we had no clue what our callers were going to ask, so you get our initial reaction to a wide range of topics. What are those topics? Glad you asked.
We talk about the Eagles tie, Donovan McNabb not knowing the rules of football, Sarah Palin’s book deal, the NL MVP, college football and basketball (deep breathe after all that) and the idea that photographers are media people too. Yes, some media meta-talk to get the call in ratings up! It’s actually quite an interesting conversation all around.

Marc Sonsini re-joins the show to talk about the league, the Flyers and the Mullet getting the axe. We also talk about the growing attendance problem in the NBA and how the NHL seems to be immune to this, yet can’t get more than six people to watch the games on TV. What is up with the loyalty of hockey fans and the fair-weatherness of NBA fans when it comes to going to the games and how that compares to actually following the sports. We discuss.
