ON THE DL
Are we all breaking the law?
Neil Jacobs joins both Dan and Nick in our latest episode to talk about whether or not these brackets we’ve all joined are actually legal, or if so many people do it, it’s not worth the time of the law enforcement to crack down.
We equate the brackets to betting online and home poker games. and Neil gives us the straight dope.
Nick and Dan then break down the Sweet 16 and talk about some of the great moments of the first weekend, including Dan losing $1000 because Duke didn’t win by 10 over Belmont after being up 4 in the second half. And the sonsabitches didn’t have the courtesy to lose either.
As is our custom, we talk a little bit about life outside of sports and pay respects to the 4,000 Americans who have died in this stupid war. Yep, you read that right. Five years, 4,000 Americans.
If McCain becomes President and his “100 more years” of being in Iraq holds true, we’d lose 80,000 Americans.
Nick gets us out of the dumps with a question. Last month we talked about sportscasters we love. He asks listeners to share people you not only you don’t like, but you don’t know anyone who does. Who is universally disliked, yet still has a sweet gig? Share, and we’ll talk about it next time.
