ON THE DL
Will Leitch of Deadspin Joins the DL on Monday!
To quote Harry Kalas in that clip we ran the other day, “this is very exciting.”
The king of all sports bloggers will be giving us 15-20 minutes (which I’ll try to make 25-30) to chat about his book, the site and his thoughts on the sports world.
I specifically want to ask Will his opinion on the responsibility of bloggers, and how that compares to people in the ‘real’ media? For example, do members of the print and television media sit on stories because they want to protect athletes, or do they sit on stories because they’ll get sued for slander and defamation if they don’t have credible sources? Why are bloggers immune to this? I’d think b/c they have no money, but, as is the case with Will, that’s not true anymore.
