ON THE DL
Free Darko Reaction. LeBron Rightly Focused on 2009, Not 2010. Gold Gloves Announced.
I mentioned yesterday that I was on the Free Darko Presents: The Disciples of Clyde podcast this week. It was great. You should listen.

Bear with me on this one.
Speculation Station:
LeBron James doesn’t want to talk about 2010 anymore. Should he have to? His team is currently constructed to be a force in the Eastern Conference. They likely expect to go deep in to the playoff and, potentially, win the championship.

Worry about THIS season. The team can win. LeBron shouldn’t have to talk about next year. I understand, and Nick and I discuss, the need for columnists and sports talk guys (us included) to fill space. So talking and speculating on where LeBron is going (and Wade, etc) is great for killing time, but that doesn’t mean the guy has to comment on it. If he knew where he was going, but wasn’t telling anyone, that’s a story. But until that is confirmed shouldn’t we focus on this year’s team?
And people of Cleveland, I know you’ll be devastated if LeBron leaves after not winning a title with the Cavs. But if he does win, and still leaves, how will that make you feel?

We give a quick rundown of thoughts on the Gold Glove announcements and discuss how the numbers can tell totally different stories, depending on which numbers you choose to use.
Thanks for listening. As always.
