ON THE DL
Belichick. Westbrook. Media Dog Fight. Curb in Real Life.
We obviously start where every sports show will start today, talking about the inexplicable move by Bill Belichick to try and go for a first down on 4th and 2 inside your own 30 yard line when you’re winning the game.

“I've been around Belichick a long time and he's made a lot of great coaching decisions, but this is the worst coaching decision I've ever seen Bill Belichick make.”
That couldn’t be easy, even if he was right.
We also talk about the future of Brian Westbrook. Enrico from The700Level.com and I talked with Ashley Fox in the Philadelphia Inquirer today about this very subject. Westbrook is a guy you always root for, and we discuss his future -- or if there is one.

We spin it back to the SNF game to talk about dogfighting. Yes. Both Reggie Wayne in his post game interview with Andrea Kremer and Al Michaels in his scripted monologue to open the game made reference to the game -- or the race in the AFC -- as a ‘dog fight.’ I write about this at The Sporting Blog today, but can’t we retire that term, what with the Michael Vick situation not close to being in our rearview mirror?
Culture Pop:

But here’s the thing...when I walked in, the guy was already at the sink. As I got to a urinal, the guy DOUBLED BACK and stood at another urinal CONTINUING TO TALK TO ME.
I thought I was going to die. Eventually, completely freaked out and unable to go, I walked past the man to wash my hands (you can’t just walk out of a bathroom, even if you don’t go, without washing your hands. At this point, as I’m reaching for a towel to get the hell out of there, the man berates me for ignoring him, saying “oh I guess this conversation is over now.” WHAT? Who does this?!?! All I could think of is, what would Larry do? Fight or flight, and I flit.
I may never use a public restroom ever again.
