The Weekend That Was:

We haven’t talked enough college football this season. Today we spend some time breaking down the BCS and what could be, especially if Texas loses, a giant mess at the top. In fact, the whole BCS could be a mess this year -- and not just the national title game. Could a two-loss Big Ten team really get in over a one loss BIG EAST team if Pitt ends up beating Cincinnati (assuming they both get to that match-up unscathed)? And what about TCU and Boise State -- will they get a fair shake at the title game should Texas lose?

And who really cares about the BCS at this point? Hasn’t the National Title game totally DEVALUED the rest of the BCS, which is the opposite of what they were trying to do? Isn’t the SEC title game FAR more interesting and important than any bowl game that’s not the title game?

We also briefly talk about Charlie Weis, the MLS Cup final Jimmie Johnson’s dominance.
