Tim Whitaker, editor of Philadelphia Weekly, joins the show to talk with Dan about his career and how the landscapes of both the city, and the industry, have changed in his 13 years with Philly Weekly.
In the power struggle between blogs and newspapers, Tim (and PW) falls somewhere in the middle, so it’s really interesting to hear his take.
We also talk about the sports world, and compare modern athletes to those of a generation ago, trying to figure out where the disconnect with the media started. I think we blame Mike Schmidt. Ha.
Oh, and this podcast has officially become as old as me. Happy 30th, DL.
