PODCAST: ON THE DL

Our 50th show brings Jeremy Schaap to the DL.   We talk with Schaap about the similarities of our lives growing up in the shadows of our fathers.  With Father’s Day coming this weekend, we wax nostalgic about the legacy of Dick Schaap.

Jeremy also talks about the legacy of the recently-passed Jim McKay and the notion that the old-school style of sports journalism has passed us by, in favor of a SportsCenter, in-your-face style.

We also talk Bob Knight, Bobby Fischer and if he ever felt like he was becoming the story, rather than covering it.

To close, we talk Olympics, and I ask Jeremy if the Chinese Government or PEDs will be the bigger story.
