PODCAST: ON THE DL

This is going to be an incredibly short recap, because most of this stuff is in my Press Coverage post over at The Sporting Blog today. So read it there, not here.

We discuss, the Yankees making it to the World Series. WIll the weather be a factor? Will ‘northeast corridor’ nature of the match-up help or hurt ratings? Will Bud Selig be ripped for two big-market teams with giant payrolls playing for the title? Is that fair at this point?

Also: We discuss Steve Phillips firing and Sean Salisbury suing Deadspin (and wondering if/when Linda Cohn decides to do the same after Friday’s Deleted Scenes post that was, frankly put, despicable considering when Daulerio when on a ‘date’ with Cohn she made him promise for that post not to write anything that would embarrass her kids. Oops).

Nick cuts out early and I give my thoughts on Neil Best disappearing from the sports media coverage landscape on Wednesday. That’s the day Newsday cuts out the rest of the non Long Island world unless you pay a monthly fee. It will be interesting to see if this business plan works.

And the Bill Simmons media tour is coming to an east coast city near you. Are you going? Let me know.
